Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy analysis. During her undergraduate studies at Mizzou, she participated in multiple international experiences, including a six-week study abroad program in Galway, Ireland, and a service-learning program in Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic. These formative experiences sparked her passion for global learning and international travel.
Following graduation, Kayla obtained her TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification and spent a year teaching English in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She later traveled extensively throughout Asia, visiting destinations such as Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and India, including a month in Rishikesh. While traveling, Kayla most enjoys experiencing local cuisine, exploring mountains and waterfalls, and appreciating the natural beauty of each destination.
Prior to joining S&T in June 2024, Kayla worked as an autism specialist supporting the neurodiverse community and taught in Saint James Public Schools. Since joining the S&T staff, she has supported a variety of campus wellness and outreach initiatives, including co-chairing the Health and Well-Being Subcommittee. Kayla enjoys connecting with students and works closely with campus partners to build collaborative relationships that enhance student success.

Anna has a bachelor's degree in business administration and Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa. During her collegiate studies, Anna took advantage of going on a study abroad program, which led to her passion for international education and encouragement of finding intercultural experiences both abroad and in our own communities. Anna has studied in Chile and Nicaragua for short-term programs, as well as a couple of semesters in Spain. After graduating, Anna took a gap year to backpack mostly around Europe. A highlight of her travels was how much she enjoyed being able to have conversations with both locals and travelers from near and far. Returning to the U.S., Anna found her way back to international education at her alma mater as a study abroad adviser. Anna looks forward to working with and encouraging current S&T and Mizzou students to find their global learning experience.
